Well we are on Day 5 of the Squidoo contest and I’m still hanging in at number 2 with a rank of 167. I guess that is not too bad since I never even really used Squidoo before now. I did create a couple of Lenses a few months ago but did not spend much time on them. I have learned a few things on how to rank better on Squidoo. Its really pretty simple, but I think most people over look it. I’m keeping notes of exactly how I’ve done what I’ve done up to this point and I’ll be sharing those at some point. Well if I win or even make a good showing I will. If I sink, then I’ll probably keep my mouth shut. Day 5 of the Squidoo Contest
Blog Starter Checklist
As many of you know I’ve been participating in Tiffany Dow’s little Squidoo contest the last few days. I’m holding at the number two position with my Lense at http://www.squidoo.com/affiliate-marketing-guide/ I expect to get kicked out of number two position at any time because Tiffany is coming on strong.
Regardless of the contest, there is some really great content on Squidoo that I never realized was there. Alot of people want to start blogging but really don’t know how to get started. Well I ran across a great lense today on this subject, so I thought I would share. http://www.squidoo.com/blogstarter/ has some really great tips on how to get started blogging and how to launch your blog out into the blogsphere. If you have a few minutes then it would be worth your time to go over the suggestions made there.
Squidoo Challenge
Well I posted yesterday that i would be taking part of the squidoo challenge set up by Tiffany Dow on which Warrior can get their lense on the topic of Affiliate Marketing rated the highest in 30 days. Well the competition starts today. I don’t really expect to win as I have not done much with Squidoo up to this point, but I would like to make a decent showing at least. I have developed a strategy for this and I don’t have clue yet as to how my strategy is going to work out. I’m not going to share my squidoo strategy yet as I don’t want the competition to figure it out. I think it will work but I’m not sure. I am tracking mmy results and the steps taken so if my strategy works out I’ll share it with everyone later.
I just set this up a few minutes ago so there is not a lot of content on it yet, but I have a few PLR articles on this subject that I will be re-writing and posting to the lense. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it high enough in the rankings that I won’t need to delete all references to it after 30 days on this site
