There is an interesting post on Daily Blog Tips that I thought I would share. Steve Pavlina is one of the people who is facing off and there is some interesting comments on choosing a niche. There is a cool little app on GTOD that may come in handy. I’m always getting CD’s scratched and losing data. Today for the next 17 hours you can get an utility that will help bring your data back. We all need this from time to time so you may want to stop by and grab a copy before its gone.

I was watching some videos today on the new platform Microsoft is developing for .Net, Silverlight. It is very cool and will offer a lot of functionality to web applications. I can’t wait to see what people start developing with this platform with Web 2.0 type applications. If you need some examples then watch this video in which Scott Guthrie shows how to create a media rich Airline booking application. The possibilities with this platform are endless and it should allow for a wide array of media rich applications to be developed for the web. The cool part is you don’t have to run the apps on a Windows Server, they will also work on Apache. Of course to get the rich combination of being able to leverage .Net code behind from web services or other .Net applications it will need to be on Windows, but most of this stuff is client side.
