There are quite a few companies that are now utilizing the idea of revenue sharing to attract visitors. The first website I heard of that did this was Digital point and this practice may account for Digital Point’s growth rate over the past couple of years. The main way most web sites do this is by utilizing Adsense. Basically you put your Adsense code in your account and then you get a percentage of the clicks to your Adsense account.
I just came across another website that has started doing this, but instead of using a forum as Digital Point does, they are using a Social bookmarking type approach. With the popularity of Social sites such as Digg.com on the past couple of years. This ay take off. The site looks fairly new so it may be a good time to get into the stream. As it also works with a referral basis. You can refer people to the site and then receive Adsense impressions on the content they submit too. Seems like an interesting concept. I figure I’ll give it a shot as I’m always submitting my posts to sites such as this purely for the traffic generation aspect, but if I can maybe earn a few pennies at the same time then it may be useful.
