In celebration of the new program I’ve been involved with Entrecard, I decided to hold my first blog contest and I’m putting up 1000 Entrecard credits as a prize. I’ve never did a Blog contest so this should be a learning experience. My main reason for doing this is to help my technorati authority.
If you have not claimed your blog on technorati then you are really missing out on a potential avenue for traffic and you should do that right now. It only takes a couple of minutes and it will help your traffic and Google rankings.
This contest will run through December 24 and its very easy to win. The winners will be chosen by drawing random entries and there will be 3 winners.
1st place = 500 Entrecard Credits
2nd place = 300 Entrecard Credits
3rd place = 200 Entrecard credits.
Everyone else = I’ll link to your blog from my resources page which currently has a Page Rank of 3 and I’ll actively drive links to that page so its PR will go up during the next Google update.
You can earn multiple chances by performing the following tasks:
- 5 Entries =Link to this post using the anchor text Blog Contest from a post on your blog as well as one other post on my blog. You can choose any other post and if you are running WordPress or another platform that sends trackbacks I’ll approve your comment so you will get a link back from the comment at the same time.
I can’t really check the rest of these so I’ll just have to take your word for it..
- 2 Entry = Stumble this post and another post of your choosing.
- 2 Entries = Subscribe to my RSS feed.
- 1 Entry == Drop your card on this blog while you are here.
After you have done all this reply to this post an ensure you leave your Entrecard email address and the site you wish to promote along with the number of entries which you are entitled.
I will raise the value of each of the prizes by 50 credits for every 100 people who compete.

I’ve got quite a few credits so this is just a method that I can give a little back to Entrecard. It has given me so much in the past few weeks so perhaps I can give a little back with this contest.
