I don’t know how many times I’ve seen someone post on a forum about losing a blogger account and all their work being lost. Its true the the people at Blogger are sometimes a little too quick to remove a blog or group of blogs from a user without warning. This has caused a lot of concern from people who have blogs on blogger including myself.
Well Blogger Backup to the rescue. I saw this project on codeplex today that will help reduce the risks that blogger bloggers will lose all their hard work. If you start saving all your posts from the start then you probably have all your blog posts archived already but for people who have been blogging on blogger for a long time may not have this luxury and it would be very time consuming to go in and copy every post for the last couple of years. Well with this little open source project you can back it up to your desktop. It does require windows as this is a .Net application and it is still in Alpha( so expect bugs), but if you are interested check out Blogger Backup. It could save you a lot of work if something happens to your blogger blog.
