I'd be interested to hear how you get on with this. I like the concept of Yuwie and have heard good things about it but what puts me off is the ridiculous man in the video for yuwie. So annoying!

Anyway, good luck and let us know how you get on!

I don't plan on spending a lot of time on Yuwie. I view it just as I do myspace just another revenue stream and something you can use for promoting your other sites.

I've gained a few referrals in the past few days and that is from very little work. Myspace did delete my announcements, but its something I expected to happen.

What makes in interesting to me is not from the time I'll spend their but the time others spend on social type sites. This is more true of teenagers. With a proper team of teens, you could create a self propagating revenue stream for just a little bit of your time on the front end. To me its worth a little time to try out the process to see what may happen.

My partner wrote an article about this. The thing about Yuwie is that you can put all that time and effort towards making money with your own site. Nonetheless I think it's a good idea.

Yeh, Squidoo does do that, but I don't really consider Squidoo a socail site. I guess its sort of one. Yuwie is an interesting concept. I've been playing around with it for a few days and I can say one thing its better than myspace. Friends are easier to obtain and becuase of the way they allow you to share in revenue it does not seem as hostile to marketing efforts. While I'm sure someone would get upset if you started spamming everything a little self promotion seems perfectly acceptable.
