The Next Internet Millionaire

I’ve been following Joel Comm‘s Next Internet Millionaire Reality Show. I actually started to apply for the show, but decided against it as my time is stretched right now. Well it turns out that one of the people involved in DotNetNuke, Cliff Hammock, actually applied for the show and now has made it to the second round. He’s made some interesting videos and I personally think the guy deserves a shot at being on this show. If you have a couple of minutes take a look at his video and give him a 10 to help him along.

So many people say they want to be Internet Marketers but there are not a lot of people who want to actually get out their and do the work. This is probably true of a lot of professions. Its takes special person to rise up over the obstacles to achieve their dreams. Not something everyone has and that is good. As Seth Godwin says you need to be the best at what you are doing or you should consider whether a particular task is worth your time. Get through the dip or get out of the race.

Seth also has an interesting post on his blog today about consistancy. Consistency is probably one of the biggest obstacles to success in Internet Marketing. As Seth says you need to be consistent but not at the expense of losing your analytical ability. There are so many variables to almost any situation and they need to be considered before you decide on a particular course of action. And that is amplified when you put anything to do with the Internet into the mix. This may be part of the problem with why so many IMer’s don’t seem to make it. Be consistent, but be consistent while analyzing whether this particular course of consistency helps you to achieve your long term goals.
