Get a Grip

It’s weird how the longer you work around this business the more you observe items that could be related to this business. I went to the store on a honey do trip to pick up a few extra things for Thanksgiving. I’m an AeroSmith fan and I popped in their greatest hits to accompany me on my trip. The second song on the CD is “Get A Grip” as I was listening to the song it occurred to me how much advice was in the song for people in this industry.

If you want to live loose then Get a Grip. This could be an representation of the dream that many marketers hope to live. Most marketers always have an ultimate dream or objective they hope to obtain as a result of their IM efforts. Whatever your goal is then you want to live loose to enjoy all the items that interest you without worry in a loose matter.

So “let it rip”. So many marketers spend so much time trying to get a product or technique prefect before they really do anything with it. Now while I agree that you need to plan and test your products and techniques before you launch to avoid leaving money on the table, you also have to eventually do something and take some action.

If you are using the power of internet marketing in that you can create and launch a product for minimal costs then you have the freedom to actually make a few mistakes. After all if you learn from each of your mistakes ( and you will make them) then you are much more likely to succeed the next time after you fail. So get out there and let it rip. If you want to live loose then get a Grip. You are the only one who can determine which direction you need to go, so grab onto something and see it to the end. If you don’t then how can you ever hope to succeed in this business. Get a Grip on your business and start the path to enjoy your time on this earth. Listen to the words of the song and I think you may find another few gems in there other than what I’ve mentioned here.
