I finally got around to joining BloggingZoom.com about a week ago and I really like it a lot better than a site such as Digg. Mainly because the people there don’t automatically bury a post just because it mentions something about making money on the web. Even though I joined over week ago, I had only submitted one post and it did not do very well. One thing I don’t really like about the submission process is you must type a certain amount of text in each submission description, I’m assuming this helps cut down on drive by spammers, the part I don’t like about this process is not the amount of text you have to enter, but the fact that when you don’t enter enough characters then the error message you get is very cryptic and does not point you to the problem immediately. This was a little frustrating until I actually read the text above the box and entered enough of a description.
Well today I decided to make a couple of submissions for my latest posts and both of these have went hot with just a few zooms and are now on the front page. Now while I don’t expect the enormous amount of traffic I would get from being on the front page of Digg, it is cool that I’m actually there at the moment. I’ve never even been close to the front page of Digg.
I don’t really understand the whole Karma rating. I’ve done a fair amount of zooming articles besides the ones I submitted, but my Karma is 6.72 when other members with similar stats have a Karma of 10.00. I’m not sure which is better, but would assume the higher the number the better. I’ll have to figure that part out.
