Interesting Method of Generating Backlinks

I was surfing around StevePalvina.com today and saw an interesting ad for John Chow’s blog well I got to reading the blog and came across a post by John, where he is offering free back links for reviews of his site. This is an interesting idea and one that is interesting not only from the stand point that you can get a link from a high traffic blog like John has built. This sounds like a great idea and I’m writing one too, but the truth is that John is the one who is really making out.

While he provides a link to you and all the other bloggers who review his site, you also provide two links back to him. This should increase John’s number of backlinks to his site immensely. This will help him with search engine rankings as well as help him to build up traffic you his site as the number of routes into his site will increase.

This is a great idea, perhaps I’ll do something similar in a few months when this blog has really had the time to take off. This is just another example of how surfing and reading the web with a critical eye, can help you to build up your own business. Reading the best bloggers on the net can really help you with building traffic to your own site, but to increase your knowledge about marketing your website more effectively.

As I said I just found John’s site today and I have not read back through all his archives, but I can already tell there is some great information on this site. There are quite a few Google Adsense articles that should be of use to anyone wanting to earn a few dollars form adsense type sites. There are also some interesting tidbits on Generating Traffic to your site. I highly suggest you take a few minutes and peruse through John’s ramblings.

Ah Interesting find. (I’ll have to try this one on my non IM niche sites). Nice technique he even gets a link with some good content which makes it appear 100% natural. good going..(why didn’t I think of it?)

Ana, I thought the same thing when I read it. Why didn’t I think of something like this. I’m not really sure the total idea is John’s or not, Darren Rowse does some similar things on his blog, but this one definitely has a twist.
