Is FeedBurner hitting paydirt
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
There is a story over at TechCrunch which claims Feedburner is being purchased by Google for 100 Million dollars. I don’t know if its true or not, but it may be interesting if it is. I personally love Feedburner and it gives me a lot of information about my subscribers that I would not be able to get otherwise( at least no way I know of).
I’m sure this will mean that you will be able to install Adsense ads in your feed. This may come in very handy for those people who just read your feed in their reader but never actually visit your site. Of course this news comes at the same time that it appears Google is tightening up on MFA sites. Joel Comm reported on his blog today about how some publishers where politely asked to go away because their content was not up to standards. Perhaps these two items together could be good for those Internet Marketers who understand that Content is King and it takes work to create a succesful Adsense business. We’ll jsut have to see how it works out.
Of course this really seems to be a day for controversy on the BlogSphere. There also seems to be a tightening down over at Digg and they are banning users based on too many Diggs. This may be a good move on Digg’s part or it may be a mistake. Those kids that use Digg consistently are fickled and they may decide to go somewhere else. I hope that will happen, because in my opinion Digg has become pretty much useless. You may want to leave that link alone for a while. I opened the story backup to get the URL for this post and I noticed its getting the Digg Effect big time at the moment. The Wordpress install at thewrongadvices.com is feeling the strain at the moment. Perhaps something good will come of this move. Let’s all hope.
