WP-Revealed –Wordpress tutorial

I’ve just got started using Wordpress and I’m still catching up. I ran across a product that explains the process of managing aWordpress installation at The Wp-Revealed site and it looks interesting so I may just decide to purchase this to keep my learning curve down. The eBook looks interesting and it comes with a couple of open source plugins to allow some additional functionality in WordPress.
I’ve also been reading up on Darren Rowse’s series on building a better blog. I really want to build this blog out to a useful resource for everyone. Whether it remains on the topic of Internet Marketing or I delve into other areas, I definitely need to make sure I’m taking advantage of Word Presses valuable features. I don’t really care if this blog earns the amount of money that Darren Rowse or Steve Pavlina earns with their blogs, but I would like to earn enough to pay the hosting fees and maybe take my wife out to dinner every once in a while.
You can probably tell that I have not really given a lot of thought to actually monetizing this site yet. I know I will at least put some adsense ads on this site and I may look at other options as time goes along, we’ll just have to see how the traffic patterns go. My first goal with this blog is to provide useful content so as long as I can monetize without compromising that position then I will use the source. One things I don’t want to do is to provide a lot of testimonials for products I’ve never used and convince everyone else they need them so I can make a few dollars on an affiliate sale. That is not my goal and you will always see any affiliate link clearly marked with out any cloaking, just as I did earlier in this post.
