I posted yesterday about Concept Draw that was offered on Giveaway of the day. I actually just found this site really by accident by getting an email that mentioned it. I’ve been looking around and it seems like a really interesting concept from a marketing perspective. The site is built using wordpress which is interesting to me as I’ve gotten into some Wordpress development as of late and they have a great layout and some interesting plugins for this application. I’m not great at PHP yet as I come from a Microsoft background, but as I’ve learned more I realize that PHP really has some potential to create some dynamic applications which perform very fast. Something that is not so easy with .Net applications.
Anyway back to the reason for this post. I’ve spent some time looking back through the archives and I now realize this could be a great resource for marketers. Not only can you find some great applications for free if you act fast enough. For example the other day they offered a RSS content generator which looks to have potential for someone who needs a lot of content for a website quick, but you could also use it as a portal to get your product in front of lots of eyes in a short amount of time. I missed the RSS content generator offer, but I downloaded the demo and it looks like a decent program and could save a lot of time.
Everyone loves freebies and this site appears to have a lot of readers. If you have a software product that you need build some exposure for then you may want to talk to these guys. Looks like it could produce some great results if you are willing to part with a few short term profits for a longer term view of building a customer base. I know I will be subscribing to their feed and investigating this little resource further. You may want to check it out.
